Russian youth never gives up their occupation. If something gets up on the way to their goal, they can find a way out of the situation. This story about a girl who was needed break up her sport career as figure skater but therefore she found herself in your own business as a skate and roller dancer. Find out more about Sonya Tupikina.

When I asked Sonya why she decided leaving the sports she told me that in 2007 there were different complications in a figure skating in Novosibirsk. Coaches left the city for others. At school there were personnel rearrangements. “I couldn’t build a sport career in such atmosphere, but I didn’t want to leave Novosibirsk and at the same time I desired going on skating. So I started to find how I could realize myself. And once upon a time my friend Vladimir Samuylov proposed to dance with him at college and I agreed. It was a dance on roller skates. Then we created our show-ballet “Art Skate” and we started appearing on parties and concerts”.

Sonya devoted to developing “Art Skate” almost 4 years. For this time collaboration has turn into a roller skates school. Today main group of roller skates dancers consists of 10 people. Also at school there are few groups for children who only begin stand-skating. Guys take a part in various competitions: “The most impressive and significant event for me was our appearance on the TV-show “The Moment of Glory” (Reference. In USA for example this show’s named "America’s got talent"). We took a part in competitions twice — in 2008 and 2010 but unfortunately we weren’t in final tour. Nevertheless it was unbelievably when people from whole our country look at you on TV!” — Sonya shared her emotions.

But Sonya doesn’t stop and now she works at fitness-center as roller skates instructor for adults: “My fitness program is based on my experience. I use various elements from figure skating, choreography and style-slalom. Such training not only interesting occupation but it’s very healthy. During the training strengthen the muscles of the legs, back and abs”. Look a promo of Sonya’s classes.

Also Sonya takes part actively in developing skating community. The main aim is helping for 20-40-years old people to implement their dream to stand-skating. Moreover people can be taught dance skating and take a part in ice shows and performances: “I began skating when I was 4-year old. But I think that adults also can learn to skate. All depend on longing and abilities. Just when you are a child you have more time to training and less fears and psychological barriers”.

I think you're very talented, and although the coaching situation is difficult, you shouldn't give up your dream. The fact that you have started up your own business by being pro active, is fantastic. I wish you all the best.

I wish all the pics here could better convey through your monitors the energy and emotions Sonya expresses and shares with the people surrounding her in real life. Be sure that as contrasted to the typical and annoying activities of your usual day, her lessons and even just the time spent in her company are so energetic, positive, emotional and inspiring as to exceed anything imaginable!!!
I was really lucky to experience this energy and to be "tuned" to a feeling of a true life despite an abundance of boring, monotonous and even dull things, problems in daily life...

I really want the world to have a plenty of such people who are really able to inspire the others and initiate the process of their soul and emotional "recreation" every day =)

I wish you the best of luck, new opportunities, new chances, endless life energy and endless love for life in order to share it with people. And I sincerely want a lot of people to know about you, about your style of life, views on life and its major values... Who knows... maybe after it some part of people in the world could become kind-hearted and well-disposed to each other and start a chain reaction of getting better.
