When I asked Sonya why she decided leaving the sports she told me that in 2007 there were different complications in a figure skating in Novosibirsk. Coaches left the city for others. At school there were personnel rearrangements. “I couldn’t build a sport career in such atmosphere, but I didn’t want to leave Novosibirsk and at the same time I desired going on skating. So I started to find how I could realize myself. And once upon a time my friend Vladimir Samuylov proposed to dance with him at college and I agreed. It was a dance on roller skates. Then we created our show-ballet “Art Skate” and we started appearing on parties and concerts”.

In USA for example this show’s named "America’s got talent"). We took a part in competitions twice — in 2008 and 2010 but unfortunately we weren’t in final tour. Nevertheless it was unbelievably when people from whole our country look at you on TV!” — Sonya shared her emotions.
But Sonya doesn’t stop and now she works at fitness-center as roller skates instructor for adults: “My fitness program is based on my experience. All depend on longing and abilities. Just when you are a child you have more time to training and less fears and psychological barriers”.
